COVID-19 Updates at Hilton Sandestin Beach

To Our Valued Guests,

We’re excited to welcome you to Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa! We thank you for your patronage and your patience with our staff as they work diligently to create a memorable experience for you. Due to the national staffing shortage, as a result of the pandemic, our amazing team is working tirelessly to ensure no lapse in service for our guests but we can only ask so much of them. We appreciate your understanding during this time and hope you are still able to feel the light and joy of hospitality through our staff interactions. 

Along with guidelines provided by the CDC and Hilton Hotels & Resorts we have made the following adjustments to our day-to-day procedures:

Personal Protective Equipment

As of May 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that fully vaccinated people do not wear a mask while indoors or outside. Complimentary facemasks are available at the front desk for any guest in need of one. All vaccinated team members will no longer be wearing face coverings per the guidance provided by the CDC, AHLA, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts has updated its face mask mandate: We ask for guests' responsible cooperation during this time, and strongly encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear face coverings indoors and for all to social distance wherever feasible.


Housekeeping Services

As part of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts CleanStay program, our team will be sealing off rooms that are ready to welcome new guests in an effort to keep everything sanitized prior to arrival. All requests for amenities will be placed in sealed single-­use bags placed outside the door of an individual’s guest room. At this time, we are not providing daily housekeeping services. Limited maid service will be provided every fifth day to guests staying 5 nights or longer – please note, rooms with Do Not Disturb hung on the door will not receive service as scheduled. 

Guest Elevators

Sanitizer stations are located in each individual elevator car. Elevator capacity has been reduced to ensure the number of guests using our facilities at one time does not put others at risk. Only two people OR one family are permitted in one elevator car at the same time.

Valet Parking

Our guest services staff is providing valet parking services with specific cleaning protocols in place. High touchpoints in all guest vehicles will be sanitized to include outside and inside door handles, the steering wheel, gear shifter, and start button or key starter. 

Hilton Sandestin’s Private Beach

At this time our beach is open to guests of Hilton Sandestin and Serenity by the sea Spa members. We suggest making reservations for beach chairs in advance by dialing 850-267-9500 and asking for the "Beach Hut." We are no longer permitting tents of any kind on our beach in an effort to ensure enough space for all guests to enjoy themselves. While on the beach guests are asked to participate in social distancing.

Spa members will be required to show their member ID and hotel guests will be required to show their Hilton Sandestin wristband provided upon check-in.

Pool Decks & Chairs

Our onsite staff cleans our outdoor and indoor pools and hot tubs daily in addition to our whirlpools in the spa. Our facilities are monitored 24/7 by Ecolab to ensure around-the-clock cleanliness.

*The CDC has stated there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g. with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19. Our pool levels remain monitored 24/7 by EcoLab and our Hilton Sandestin Beach staff and are cleaned thoroughly multiple times a day.

Onsite Dining

All surfaces within the restaurants are cleaned and disinfected with commercial-grade products in between each guest experience. Our menus and hours are subject to change during this time. Each menu is available online by visiting our dining page.

  • Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 pm-9 pm and Friday through Saturday from 5:30 pm-10 pm. Our dress code policy can be found by visiting www.seagars.comReservations are required: 850-622-1500
  • Sandcastles Restaurant is only serving a traditional breakfast buffet daily from 7 am-11 am. Lunch and dinner will no longer be offered in the restaurant.
  • Sandcastles Lounge is open daily serving an "All Day" menu from 11 am-11 pm.
  • Hadashi Sushi Bar is open daily from 4 pm-10 pm. 
  • Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill is open daily from 11 am-8 pm; the bar closes at 9 pm. A limited menu is offered between lunch and dinner from 4 pm-6 pm.
  • The Sand Bar is open daily. Hours may vary due to weather conditions. 
  • Picnix Poolside Market is open daily from 11 am-5 pm.
  • The Coffee Shop is open daily beginning at 6:30 am-2 pm.

Guests of Guests

At this time, the hotel’s private beach, indoor and outdoor pools, and beachfront pool deck are open to hotel guests and Serenity by the sea Spa members only. In an effort to ensure enough space for all guests and members to enjoy themselves and still allow for social distancing we’ve closed our outdoor amenities to the public as well as guests of guests. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Hilton Sandestin is not currently welcoming the public to dine in its onsite restaurants including Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill, Sandcastles Lounge, and Hadashi Sushi Bar. Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood is currently open to the public, reservations are required and can be made by visiting Hours and menus for each dining outlet can be found by visiting

Serenity by the sea Spa

Serenity by the sea Spa is open daily with appointments available from 8 am-7 pm. All guests visiting Serenity by the sea Spa must make an appointment in advance by calling the front desk at 850-622-9595. The fitness center is accessible 24 hours a day located on the lower lobby level of the Spa Tower - guests must be 16 or older to use the fitness center. If at anytime a service provider feels uncomfortable during a treatment they have the ability to end the service at their discretion.

Serenity by the sea Spa Members must show their Member ID and any guest passes when asked by hotel security. Spa members have daily access to our 24-­hour fitness center; spa wet facilities; all onsite dining options; private beach; pools and pool deck.

Meetings & Events

Using the resources provided by Hilton Hotels & Resorts, our meeting and events team has created event experiences that are clean, flexible, safe, and socially responsible. Catered events now feature server-attended buffets and action stations as well as individually packaged/portioned items. Meeting space layouts have been updated with social distancing guidelines in mind, providing more space between chairs, tables, and buffet lines. Team building activities and beach bonfires are based on the number of group attendees and will be provided on a limited basis. Kids Krew is currently closed.

Additional Updates

The Sandestin Resort Tram is currently running from Sunday - Thursday: 8:30 A.M. - 12:00 A.M. Friday - Saturday: 8.30 A.M. - 2:00 A.M. The tram offers limited capacity levels and picks up by the entrance to the Spa Tower.

Travel Traders Gift Shop is open daily from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.

Kids Krew is closed until further notice.



An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa and it’s affiliate outlets Serenity by the sea Spa and Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
